Hi Curtis,
first of all , don't lose ANY of the needle bearings!
Divide them in half.
Use some vaseline or light grease to hold them in position.
Re-assemble the spindle so that it is all well lubricated and evenly
distributed as per the needle rollers.
It is not hard to repair, but a litle disconcerting when they all fall
out.
Make sure that the shaft is a good fit to the steering box and as well
with the idler shaft in its housing.
A little freeplay at either is a big problem at the steering wheel.
