Subject: A Time to Drive, again
The Georgia Triumph Association is planning another monumentous gathering of
exotic machinery for the purpose of visiting the Air Museum at Warner Robbins
on July 12.
If you made the trip to Madison with us in December, you saw over 100
interesting autos on the road at the same time. We had all manner of British
iron, as well as Fiats, Alfa Romeos, Porsches, Maseratis, a Ferrari, and even
a few Miatas - all existing in peace and harmony. It was a beautiful thing.
Well, we're at it again. This time, we're going to meet at the Tanger Outlet
Mall near Locust Grove (South I-75 @ Hampton) at 8 AM for an 8:45 departure
south to Warner Robbins. It may seem a little early for a Saturday morning,
but we want to be done driving before the heat of the day sets in. We have a
slow, scenic drive planned, with a few rest stops along the way. The trip
from Hampton is
We'll be greeted by the Mayor of Warner Robbins, who will welcome us to the
city. After lunch, we'll drive over to the museum for a photo shoot (each
car, digital photos will be available for download on the GTA web site).
We'll spend the rest of the afternoon at the Museum. After that, you can head
for home, or stick around for dinner and go-kart racing.
All of the local sports car clubs are invited, which should produce quite a
spectacle. Spread the word, bring the families, and join us for a fun day on
the road.
Attached is the "official" event announcement. Feel free to print it to pass
around, or post it on the web site. Let me know if you have any questions.
Hope to see you there.
George
