In the process of adjusting my carbs today, I noticed that the piston on the front carb raises and drops much more freely than the rear carb. I cleaned both pistons and domes and both have oil. No effect. How does this affect performance? Which is more likely the good one? The front drops with a definite thunk, which seems to be what the manual calls for. What is the solution?
