Jim,

The engine in my 67.5 is from a 68, which had the late pulleys on it. I
found that I had a crack in my crank pulley, and, not having a spare,
decided to swap out both pulleys and reposition the alternator (driver's
side to passenger's side). Everything went well until I tried to put the
early water pump pulley on the late pump. The pulley hit the body of the
pump. I replaced the pump with one for the early engine and everything
worked fine. The bolt holes on the late fan don't line up with the early
water pump and pulley, but can be redrilled to sork (I used my early 4
blade fan).

I don't have a picture of the late pump, but I have a comparison of the
early pump and the fork lift pump. Take a look at
www.cs.utexas.edu/users/horne/misc/w-pump1.jpg and ........./w-pump2.jpg.

Peace,
Pat
