If wash your car, it rains, right?
Well, I guess I can take some credit for the good weather in California
lately. Since the beast has been motorless, the weather has been top-down
gorgeous! I was going to blame the Soviets. Probably some crazy
weather-control machine gone wild...but then I remembered they went Chapter
11. Must be bad Karma.
Anyway, got a little more done on the motor today. The water drain valve on
the side of the engine block was looking like it could start leaking any
time, so I found a 5/16" brass plug at the hardware store and potential
problem solved. Besides, there's not much chance of the block freezing up in
70-80 degree winter days :)
At least the motor and engine compartment will be more than ready to go by
the time the transmission is done. As they say at Microsoft, it should be
done real soon now.
We got our room reserved and Solvang entry off. Hope to see you all there.
We'll make it, even if I have to shoehorn the V6 from Pam's Safari into the
beast :)
