Actually, I am thinking way down the road for a different project. Looking for
5 lug hubs to go on the Roadster spindles as well. Will be pushing a little
more than the 150hp... (OK a LOT more, but that is a different story...)

No, sorry. I haven't prepped any roadsters for racing, so haven't had the
need. Honestly, if your engine is making less that about 150 hp, there isn't
a need. (although I'm easy on brakes, even when I actively raced) With a
car as light as the roadster, and modern pads and the bigger pistons, they
work great. If you do go to vented rotors they and the caliper are likely to
add 5-10 pounds per wheel. Ugh! That will ruin the handling on bumpy
roads....
Joan and I went to Monterey this last fall for the Historics , loaded
for camping, and highway 1 and 101 the whole way from Seattle. Joan's got
much better nerves than I , so, motoring quite quickly...alright, we kind of
got into a gentleman's race, sliding and slithering all over the place, no
brake problems at all. The other guy turned out to be a former factory racer
for HD. He knew what he was doing. Mind you Joan's car used to be a show car
(68 SRL)until two yrs ago, and has skinny radials on it. I could smell
brakes a bit , but no fade. If I was going to autocross a car NO WAY would I
put the extra weight on. Track days I'd put on kevlar pads. The supercharged
guy I saw at the Seattle Historics last year... he needed all the vented
brakes he could get. That guy was gloriously wacko.I loved the engineering
on his car. He had converted his cam drive to a belt among many other
things.
gota go!

Don,
Do you know of any vented rotor and brake combinations that will fit a
Roadster?
