If you had fuel pooling when the choke was fully on (jets down), your
float is set too high. Take the tops off the float bowls and set the
height of the arm on the inlet valve. Without compressing the spring on
the valve, the distance from the lowest part of the arm that touches the
float to the cover flange should be 15 to 15 MM.
Also, make sure your floats aren't leaking. If they are brass, shake them
to see if there is any fuel in them. If so, replace them. If they are the
black plastic floats, leaking will not be a problem.
