go. You're all I have!
I need some advice... This is kind of long & OT, so please exercise your

Still here?? Cool. Here's the deal...
My VG30 conversion is mechanically done... and boy is it fun!. The roadster
now has an '88 VG30 engine and '86 300zx trans, computer (that's weird), and
wiring harness, etc. Mark had to custom make some parts to get everything to
fit without cutting fenders, hoods, cross members, etc. Here are a couple of

It is so much fun to eat new cars for breakfast and see the looks on faces
when they read the "Datsun 3000"?!?! emblem. (Thanks to the Austin-Healey
3000)
The car already gets a lot of looks in Florida any way. But now it Sounds,
Goes, and Stops differently too. The car is Awesome and a lot of fun to
drive. I love the Extra PUNCH it has... all the way through fifth gear too!
But you know how it goes with big these cars... the faster we go, the more
we want. I usually try to get all of this out of my system with skydiving
though. Even though, technically, I can just as fast, in the roadster now,
as I can skydiving. Hard to say which one is more fun @ around 130 mph
though.
Any way, I saw this on eBay and was wondering if anyone knew if I'd be able
to convert my NON-turbo VG30 setup into a Turbo.

I know this is pretty late, since the auction ends today, but either way, I
was wondering if I could/should attempt to get parts to try something like
this. Mark says he think he can make it fit, but isn't sure about what
problems we make encounter as far as compression, etc. Does anyone foresee
any problems to overcome in converting a NON-turbo engine into a Turbo. I
would really like to do this, but haven't given up the idea of just finding
another complete Turbo car that runs good... for cheap (Yea right! that
doesn't happen everyday), and just starting over. But that would mean having
to get another body & frame too!
Also, since we want to continue to NOT cut/modify the car itself (except for
the obvious), we may find that after acquiring all the parts... it may not
fit (without cutting), and I'd rather not do that to this car.
I found out the eBay auction's reserve is $500 and the owner said it would
cost $50-$75 to ship. Should we try this?? (Or should I go back to studying
for finals??) Any advice / recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
