We pulled apart the distributor on the 1600 & noted that it is a smog
distributor. Maybe this is why we get backfiring at high speeds with the
timing set at 16 BTDC? If timing is set at 0, how much loss of power will we
have?
We also have a spare distributor that came in a box of miscellaneous parts.
The plate above the weights says 6.5. Would it be ok to swap this one into
the Roadster?
