Wind shield sealing

HI all,

Well in Portland here it is raining cats and dogs...thus the roadster is 
leaking like a crazy. The main problem is the lower rubber seal between the 
body and the windshield. I have a new one, but I was just wondering if you need 
to glue it to the body to help seal it or is the pressure from the bolting it 
down enough? If you glue is need any suggestions.
