Hi-
This may be a novice question but I need some advice. My old fuel pump was
very worn and I was able to obtain a new fuel pump. However, the old one had
a much thinner mounting flange (see picture on left). As I read the
information from Rallye Parts (Website) they explained that the old flange may
have been more fragile and the newer types have a thicker flange. They
suggest that you remove the studs from the block and replace them with longer
ones.
My question?
Although I assume it's fine,
Is it okay to use my new fuel pump even though the lever looks different
(a little longer)? I plan to install it with two new gaskets and a new spacer
block.
Any comments are greatly appreciated.
I'm just being cautious.
Thanks in advance,
Ivin
