ammeter question also!

hi,

first, I need an ammeter for my early 67. the one I have is missing the trim
ring and glass and appears to be shot. if anyone has one that is in good
shape please let me know if you want to part with it.
    I have installed the 311s.org alternator mod. how do you wire the meter
up so that it works right with it? currently I have a fuse connecting the
two wires that go to the gauge.
