another header question - starter clearence.

when I pulled the old header off it came out with minimal effort. it has been
mentioned in several e-mails that I might need a shorter starter. this is my
first roadster so im not sure how long they are. I have an early 67. the
starter is around 8 inches long. is this the short one?
