Hey now if Red Green saw this tire he would only recommend you put a little
duct tape on it. On one of his shows he demonstrated how to repair a flat
tire on his van with out taking the tire off. You guessed it. He just duct
taped the spare to the flat one. That guy is good :) Larry.

Subject: Another Towing Tire
This tire was on my car when I picked it up. Since only two of the 4
tires would hold air reliably, and this was one of them the PO had it on
the front of the car for towing on a tow dolly with the rear wheels on
the dolly. In all I towed the car from LA to Portland, about 950 miles,
and had no problems at all. Then I used this tire on my parts car to
allow us to roll the car around the yard. Last I stored it beside my
house in the afternoon sun. The pictures will show you what happened
when a worn, but solid looking tire ruptured just sitting in the sun.
There are no smooth cuts here, just tearing.

I am lucky this time, but if I ever tow a car again it will be on a
trailer with very good tires.
