cured SU problem

Fred, I told you I'd let you know how it went.  You
were right.  My front carb choke was not functioning
properly.  It looked like the linkage was functioning
fine from up top, when on the car, but when I took it
off, I saw that the bendable bracket you described was
not alligned properly.  The bottom of the shaft had
escaped it's normal "captured position" and was loose
in its housing.  I disassembled, re-assembled, did
some trial & error with the bend, and ultimately got a
working choke and rebalanced my carbs.  It starts as
designed!!!
