Hi,

  I also installed a dash cap from Dan at Rallye about 4 years ago. From my 
recollection, the cap came with a tube of plain old RTV (silicone glue). My 
biggest challenge was getting it over the vents and twistties but with a 
little elbow grease got it to practically snap in over them. The only 
silicone applied was to the front area of cap.
