Brake drum diameter for '69 1600

Mornin' all,
    Trying to put the final touches on the '69 1600 to get it back on the
road...no resto - just small fixups....I dug through the archive and the
number I can find for Max. drum diameter is 9.04 ". Is that the verdict from
the "gurus"? There are only a few e-mails on the subject ( older cars
mentioned) and I'm not sure if it varies from year to year?
