The plate is called 2 bar and 5 bar aluminum.
There is also a type called mini 2 bar with
2 short "bars" in a 45 degree patten. A whole
1/8" thick sheet is about $150 but like Mike
wrote, some manufacturing shops might sell
you small pieces. People make floors in racing
cars of the mini 2 bar type.
