All of these things are possible (welding, cutting new gears, etc etc.), but I
think you all do not realize that most shops that are set up to do these things
are not going to take a job for making a few... the set up time simply costs too
much. A few hundred, maybe, and it might then be economical at that point (i.e.
we would be able to afford them). I agree that a CNC would probably be best, as
once it is set, it can crank out a lot. But again, it is set up time, testing,
finishing, treating, etc. I really hate to be negative, but I just want
everyone
to understand that I think it will take a massive and coordinated effort to get
this done. This list is an excellent way to gauge how much demand there is out
there.
