Andy, this is a great idea! Why don't you and Terry perfect this one.

Please let us know:
How much wood you have to put in the car
How long to let the fire burn to get the frame up to temperature
How long to maintain the temperature
The phone number of the fire department
How long it takes them to show up
The rate of water application to the frame
and how long they need to apply it.

Would dunking it in the neighbor's swimming pool be better?

It would probably be best to remove the timing components before the above
process, they should probably be put inside the car for better heat treating!
