A lot of traffic was generated. I usually sit on the sidelines and
watch because I learn a lot but I am going to weigh in.
1) There is far too much energy being expended over this.
2) If I remember the original message there were two (2) air filters
and not twenty (20). There are far more than two roadsters in Texas (I
can't remember which city that was but there are a bunch spread all
over). How do we know it was one person? How do we know if it was one
person that they weren't buying for two people? How do we know it
wasn't one person buying for two cars? We don't know so lets not think
the worst, ok.
3) I myself would like to get a spare filter. I considered asking the
original author to pick one up for me. The fact they are gone doesn't
bother me as there are other places where they are available. We are,
after all, a free market, capitalist society.
That all said, I do agree with the sentiments that if they show up on
eBay it would be very disappointing. Lets all hope that it was an
innocent purchase and then we can all move on back to what makes this
list so great! Sharing our ideas, advice and information.
