Wheel Restoration

I just bought a set of 14 x 7 turbine wheels for my Roadster.  They look pretty 
corroded, but otherwise in pretty good shape.  Since all of you have a lot more 
experience at this than I, what is the basic recommendation for restoring a set 
of wheels.  Steel wool?  Brush grinder?  SOS pads?  Any suggestions will be, as 
always, greatly appreciated.
