You don't have to pull the pump. You just have to pull the distributor (and it's
tower), remove the drive gear, and spin the oil pump with an electric drill. Cut
off a large, cheap, flat-bladed screwdriver and chuck it in the drill. Of
course, if you have one of the trick oil pump priming rods made occasionally by
Tom Walter, it's even easier.
One last tip - the oil pump turns counter-clockwise, so remember to put the
drill in reverse.
