Prior to Saturday the largest number of Roadsters Id ever seen in one place
was 3. By
about noon on Saturday we had a dozen lined up beside turn 9 at Road Atlanta.
It was a bit of an adventure getting up there. Rather than spell it all out in
a long
email, Ill update the web site on Friday or Saturday and you can read it there
if you
want. I took 122 pictures/mpegs. Not all of them will make it as I dont
have that much
space on my server but Ill post the highlights and a couple of in car mpegs
from the club
laps around Road Atlanta. Even though my car was misfiring a bit the laps were
a blast.
The first time through turn 11 (the bridge you have to see it to understand)
we touched
70 as we crested the hill. I could see the grin on Chris Bruccianis face
every time I
glanced in the mirror.
Thanks to Mike Harper for the spare condenser and to John Brassfield for the
hose clamp
damn, I though I had one as I was chasing the misfire problem. Thanks to Sid
for
figuring out my tire rubbing issue dont ask an hour before lapping. I
didnt know
how I was gonna shift the cars body over to cure that. To Jeff Gaver for
manning both
his camera and mine during the lapping for a number of in car pics and movies.
Speaking
of pictures, thanks to Chris Bond for the picture of the extra-curricular
activities at
the bar after dinner. I will post that but Im trying to figure out how to
restrict
access to minors first.
The car made it home fine. The mysterious Macon Misfire seemed to clear up
just south of
Macon??? Theres still a little bit of a problem but I was able to cruise
home at 75 mph
with no trouble. Ill put a fuel pressure gauge on it this week and see if
what Im
getting. It may have just been bad fuel.
Finally, thanks to Phil and Brad and the rest of the gang for putting this
together. Even
after a very long, hot 9-hour ride home yesterday, I feel refreshed.
