Saturday morning at 9am my cylinder head was in the Explorer and the number 3
piston was
on the workbench. The Ford however decided it needed some attention in the
form of a
power window motor. That was a fiasco in itself. Suffice it to say that if
you buy a
window motor, this was a made in the USA part too, check to see it the threads
have been
tapped into it. By 3pm I was ready to start on the roadster. By 6:30 the
piston was back
in, the bottom end buttoned up and the head back on. I took the radiator out
so that I
could paint cam timing marks on the crank pulley and recheck the cam timing in
the
morning hence the other email, I just did it with the solex cam Im about 5
degrees
retarded (some may think more than that). Today around 9 pm everything was
back in its
proper place. Im too tired to start it now and at this point it really
doesnt matter
because if its still burning oil, I cant fix it before Road Atlanta.
Either way its going. See yas at RA!
