Non-destructive gas cap renewal?

We can't remove the gas cap from our '67 Roadster, try as we might.  The 
ignition key does not work on the gas cap (or the trunk lock either, for that 
matter).  Is there a non-destructive way of removing the cap and maybe having 
a correct key made?
