You are right.. sounds like a good place for the vendors. As a matter of
fact, so would the Datsun Roadster WebRing. Ok...small dose of sarcasm there.
For some reason they have avoided the DR/WR. Maybe they don't realize the
amount of traffic the webring generates? or that vendors have been welcome
from the beginning. WebRing has revamped and is even easier to deal with the
navbar code now that they have broken off from Yahoo and are their own
entitity again. I get lots of serious inquiries from non-listers & newbies
looking for parts/help - it would be a cheap source of advertising there.
While on webrings, I'll take this opportunity to mention that out of 50+
sites on the DR/WR that only 30 have their code "correct" or "active" If
anyone out there has a site that *should* be in the ring & needs some help,
let me know. WebRing has given back site URL editing functions to the
ringmaster - meaning I can finally go back in and fix things - Yeah ! You
can sign into webring at www.webring.org - *note - you may need to re-sign
up for an id with webring if you joined during the "Yahoo!" days and did not
"transition back" to webring. Check yor site id# - get your new navbar codes
and get those sites active again !!!
I;ve been very busy w/ house buying & soon, moving, but I will try to work
helping folks out in there with all of my other projects..
Laurie :-)
