Well.......our fabricator ran into a little resistance at his shop (his 
garage at home) from his boss (er, wife) about spending too much time 
doing car stuff.  There still is hope for the prototype to get finished 
and then we will find someone to produce them.  It is a very nice 
"useful" design.
