All, After the king's ransome I paid for my U20 timing set I am looking at ways to protect my investment. One list member recommended that I get my timing set gears hardened by a machine shop. Is this the same as tempering? He said it would be the last set of timing gears I ever needed. What is involved? Thoughts?
