Be in a car that is rear-ended at a good clip & your excitement level may
change.
I had a new driver slam into the back of my Supra in '88. Stupid Toyota
seats, you can't get the headrests close to your head. Long story short, I
got whiplash & 14 years later my neck still aches & stiffens up whenever it
gets cold. For this reason I'm a little nervous every time I drive my early
'67. There are a lot of safety features missing on that car, but it's so
fun I risk it. Actually my Roadster is my motorcycle at this point in life.
If it was me, I'd put them on. Of course I've already paid the dues. The
do serve a purpose, if they can get right up behind your head. Otherwise,
sell them on E-bay for lots of money & retire!
