I have a stack of VIN plates at my desk today (got dropped in the lunch box
by mistake) and they are all essentially the same size (some variance in the
cuts is to be expected) Interestingly, the older the plate, the thicker the
metal.....
years ago, I came up with what I thought was a good idea for using the ID
plate of a long gone roadster - I had an old shop manual that was falling
apart. I drilled it and put it in a binder. To identify the manual, I used
some small sheet metal screws and screwed the plate to the front of the
binder. I will be doing the same to the binder for the parts manual that I
got from Lee (it is Awesome Lee! Thanks!!)
