I don't know this either, but I believe Astroglide (whatever that is) is
water-based.
Not sure if it matters a little, a lot or not at all, but it seems prudent to
stick to the purpose-made lubes for brake parts. I treat brakes like the Holy
Grail, so maybe I'm a tad too picky.
