Too many! ;-)
The first several times I worked on my roadster, I had a few parts left over. It
still ran fine, so I figured, "What the heck, it must not have needed it."
After a few years it was down to the point where, if there were parts left over,
something was wrong!
Kinda like Carrol Shelby's definition of a sports car:
"A sports car is a car that doesn't have anything on it that doesn't make it go
faster."
