Seat Question 1969 2000

Hello fellow Roadsterites! 

Question: Is it common for the passenger seat to be closer to the door panel
(or pillar) than the driver's seat? I'm curious because that is the way mine
is. I just wonder if the holes through the floorboard were drilled
correctly.
