Most convertible sports cars follow a standard pattern. We might not
see much difference between a suburban and an expedition, but they might
not see a difference between a Fiat and a Ferrari.
My friend's 70 year old father drives his red 67 Roadster around our
small town (pop. 5000) very often. I am often told by someone, "Hey, I
saw you out cruising in your Sprite (red) the other day" and I hadn't
even left the house. Or "there is a old guy that drives a little car
JUST LIKE YOURS". Most folks don't have good observational skills
anymore. Once upon a time, you could tell a Firebird from a Camaro, or a
Trans Am or............ you get the idea. Our Cheap Ass American Car
manufacturers decided in the 80's that all cars can pop out of the same
mold and be considered a different vehicle merely by changing the
stickers and spoiler package that is applied to it. After a decade of
this type of reasoning, it is no wonder that there is a lack of concern
over what is what anymore..............
