Here are the differences between a 68-69 Tach and a 70 Tach.
The 70 Tach is larger and has lights aligned 2 on the bottom, 1 on top, 1 on
the side, also the plate in the back that holds the cable end is rectagular
and the cable hole uses a smaller square wire. Also the 2000 Tach goes to
8000 rpm while the 1600 goes to 7000 rpm.
The 68-69 Tachs has 3 lights on the bottom and 1 light on top. Also the plate
on the back that holds the cable end is half square and half round, while the
Cable that screws into it is larger.
