Thought I'd chime in too.
The first Datsun roadster I remember was owned by my older brother. I don't
remember the year, but it was a red 1500 with the sidewise back seat. He
traded it off for a silver 1966 1600. I have always remembered those cool
little cars. I recall one sunny summer day a friend and I got a high speed
run through some nice twistys with him. This must have been around 1967 or
68. Years later, While visiting the same friend, he took me out to his
garage to show me "something he got for Christmas". There was a beautiful
red 1968 2K roadster. Well, I couldn't let him have all the fun... so... an
appeal was issued to this very list to see if anyone knew of one for sale. I
got a reply from Jeff ( JeffnAly@...) and the rest is history. I have
enjoyed this little car more than any other car, or motor cycle I have ever
owned.
