Mike,
The "metric" engines (#40,000) and higher started
with the 67.5 models. Love the parts book, as
is does make one wonder.

That means a 67.5 only. Starting after Sept '67
(October '67) means a 68 model year. Yep, Rodney
was really built in 1967. Clue is the glass fuel
filter (after January 1, 1968 they used plastic
fuel filters).
Oh, the "early datsuns" have a production change
over (for model year) in the Sept month. Later
Datsun's started in July/August. So a '7/70 was
a '70 model year. '7/70 is a '71 model year.
Not sure when they changed from the "Sept" to "July"
end of year.
