UPS policy is to make 3 attempts and then return it to the
sender if there has been no response. Call UPS at 1-800-833-9943
tell them when you will be gone, and ask them if you can have it
held at the center until then. It helps if you have the tracking
number from the shipper. The UPS phone center is a large building
full of idiots, if you are told "No we can't do that" just call
back later and try it again. There are a few people there that
care about the customer, but you may not find them on the first
call.
