Sorry, you shouldn't hone aluminum cylinders. The cylinders are anodized to
harden the aluminum and to stop the porosity. You can do what you want but I
find it unacceptable and dangerous. An article I read many years ago in a
restoration magazine put me straight about this fact.

However, I would recommend resleeving the cylinders in brass rather than buy
new ones. Not cheaper but the brass can be honed and I do believe it resists
moisture better and should last longer.

PS - Slave cylinders and any other cast iron brake cylinder/master can be
rehoned. Unfortunately only the clutch slave on the Datsun is cast iron.
