Shifter play Left-Right...

I adjusted valves, points, timing... changed oil, tuned.... and the thing is
running great!  As far as i can tell, i have not had my bogging problem at
all :-)... thanks!

How do you reduce left to right shifter play?  ('69 stock 4-speed on 1600)
it looks like i need two washers at the very bottom where the shifter meets
the tranny... but i gotta find one that fits... will this fix it?  is there
something else i can/should do?
