Assuming that left hand drive vehicles are the same as RHD...
Pull lights switch one notch, you get "park" lights - tail lights plus the
front little lights. Pull out another notch (all the way) and the main
headlights come on. Your indicator stalk controls high beam/low beam - high
beam is away from you, low beam is towards you. As for wiring, I have
absolutely no idea, but you can get decent halogen globes for these cars
with no problems.
The person to talk to about headlights, though, is Daniel Stern, at Daniel
Stern Lighting - he's in the US, don't know where exactly, but email him on
dastern@vrx.headlamp.net and he'll be happy to give you EXCELLENT advice on
how to get the best out of your lights. For all cars, actually.

Have to agree with you, though - these cars are HUGE fun! Bet you can't
wait for each morning for an excuse, right now!
