Bobby,
Don't give up on the miata for that reason alone. The M1 version has more
legroom, and the seat can be "fixed" to allow more headroom and legroom. It
involves cutting a thick extra part of foam out of the seat bottom. You sit
lower, get better side support, more comfort and better view. I'm 6'1" and
have no problems. Check out the garage modifications on miata.net.
