I'm buying a 2000 in Colo. without the title. The owner has the registration
from Texas. Here's whats required:
I must attempt tocontact the owner of the vehicle ( I know, I'll have to
tell him to reject the letters)
I'll have to post a bond on the vehicle.$75
I'll have to get an appraisal :used car dealer $75
I'll have to get a vin verification from the State Patrol.
I take all this toDMV and they issue a salvage title.
State Patrol stamps a new vin tag on the door post. .
Big pain and headache.
