Yes, both the GR-2 and Gas-a-Just fit through the lower shock mount
hole, assuming you've jacked the suspension up properly. Otherwise the
holes don't line up for the stock shocks, either.
For those who want to compare the prices of GR-2 to GasAdjust, Matt
Silvey posted the Gas-a-Just p/n on his website at
<http://www.rcip.com/matt12/datsun.htm>. They are KG5447 (rear),
KG4528 (front). Thanks, Matt!
The Gas-a-Just is $29.95 (rear) and $27.95 (front) at Summit Racing.
The fronts are listed as fitting Chrysler: 1980-83 Cordoba, 1982 New
Yorker, 1982-89 Imperial, New Yorker, Fifth Avenue, 1977-81 LeBaron,
Dodge: 1976-80 Aspen, 1977-89 Diplomat, 1977-88 Mirada, Nissan: 1962-70
1600/1800/2000 Roadsters, Plymouth: 1982-89 Gran Fury, 1976-80 Volare.
This implies that any front shock that fits any of the above should
also fit the Roadster. There is no fitting info for the rears listed
at Summit.
