I think it must be added that the Solex setup runs about US$2K and more  and
that the timing components are basically NLA as I hear from all of you for
the 2Ls.

It's important to know that a lot of the parts for these cars are NLA and if
you buy a car that needs some work you can be looking at some serious money.

When I bought mine back in 79 everything was still available but today I
would have to think twice about buying one for the above reasons.

Buy very carefully and make sure that all the important pieces are in good
shape. Leave your heart out of it and use your mind.
