I don't think this applies to the flat dash Roadsters. I had to remove
the tach in my '70 and that was a much more difficult job, requiring
removing the bolts holding the steering column to the dash, the lower
dash panel, the speedo, and finally the tach. All just to replace the
tach. Even then it wasn't easy to maneuver in there.
For the early cars, just reach underneath, unscrew the cables, take off
the wingnuts, and remove the gauge. Piece of cake.
