10.8 is the grade 8 equivalent however 12.8 is like ARP bolts which are
extra hardened. They are hard to find unless special ordered at a large
industrial supplier and of course more $$$$$.
Stainless is equivalent to a grade 3 bolt.
I used stainless on waterpump pullies for almost 20 years and never had a
problem. There isn't that much stress on the pulley or at least there
shouldn't be.
