A word of caution when injecting compressed air into the gas tank inlet:
Do it outdoors, not in the garage and especially not near the water heater,
clothes dryer, running electrical equipment, etc. Of course you as a Datsun
owner are smart enough to already know that, but explosions are known to
happen to others who weren't smart enough to buy a Datsun. ;)

P.S. I've witnessed a Chevy owner with his hair on fire from gas spitting out of
the carbs. Not a very bright guy until that moment!

Sometimes when you blow out a fuel line you need to reprime it.
Detach the line from the fuel pump. Take off the gas cap and
blow air into the tank until fuel comes out the line. You may
also have to take the line off the carb's. and pout gas into
it to prime the diaphram on the fuel pump. The class bowl type
fuel strainers are really bad about not sealing and causing an
air block - I'd reroute the line using an inline filter.
