Yes:
 The fuel, and the temp are on the same primary power line. They are also 
tied together through a voltage regulator. (A very primitive voltage 
regulator I might add.) The problem could be either the power before the 
regulator, or the regulator itself. It looks like a small metal box about 2" 
wide by about one half inch thick, and usually bolts to the inside of the 
fender well.
